Gullery named Director of Digital Business Development and Strategic Partnerships for AP in Europe, the Middle East and Africa

NEW YORK -- The Associated Press has appointed Deanna Gullery as its Director of Digital Business Development and Strategic Partnerships for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It's a new position, based in London, and Gullery will work with AP’s business staff in the region to drive sales of content to new media customers.

"Deanna Gullery's wide range of expertise and familiarity with the global commercial market clearly adds to the strength of our burgeoning international business operation," said Ted Mendelsohn, Global New Media Markets Director of Business Development, who announced the appointment. Gullery reports to Mendelsohn.

Gullery has been providing product development, marketing and sales support in EMEA and Asia since 2006. She was instrumental in various product launches, including region-specific video services in Asia and Latin America and hosted Asia Online. She joined AP in 2002 as a Product Marketing Manager for Associated Press Television News where she managed AP's digital video clip portal.

Prior to joining the AP, Gullery was a marketing executive for OR Media, an independent multimedia production company based in London. The New Zealand native spent three years as a sales representative for Westco Lagan Limited in Auckland. She holds a bachelor of arts with first class honors from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
