Meghan Barr promoted to Associated Press correspondent in Cleveland

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Meghan Barr, a newswoman in the Columbus, Ohio, bureau of The Associated Press, has been promoted to correspondent in charge of the AP's Cleveland bureau.

The appointment was announced Tuesday by Eva Parziale, Ohio chief of bureau.

Barr joined the AP in 2006 in New York City and transferred to the Ohio staff in Columbus in 2008
.
Barr, 26, is a native of New York and a graduate of Cornell University
